The authorities in Australia and the United States reported that they have confiscated methyl amphetamine (or "ice") worth about 900 million American dollars in an operation that opened up new connections between Mexican drug cartels and rockers’ Australian gangs, the BGNES reports.
The Australian Federal Police reported that during the joint investigation, the U.S. Customs office discovered 1.7 tons of drugs in California last month.
The USA authorities stated that the illegal cargo has a street value of 900 million euros. The load was hidden in two containers of audio equipment directed for Australia.
After a series of investigations this month, two U.S. citizens and four Australians have been arrested in Melbourne and Sydney. They face a lot of accusations, including attempts to illegal import of drugs, and they’re objects to life sentences in Australia.
